The 15th Transgenic Animal Research Conference (TARC XV) will be held from
Sunday, August 10, through Thursday morning, August 14, 2025 at
Granlibakken in Tahoe City, CA. TARC is a biennial international conference
hosted by UC Davis, focused on current developments on the genetic
engineering and gene editing of livestock, poultry and fish.
The 15th Transgenic Animal Research Conference (TARC) brings together
representatives from the leading laboratories worldwide who are doing
cutting edge research on transgenesis and gene editing in non-murine
animals, including livestock, fish and poultry species and even wolves.
This conference brings together scientists to discuss progress, problems,
policy and potential applications of transgenic and gene editing technology
for animal applications. The program is available at

The intended audience for this conference is scientists working in the
fields of genetic engineering and gene editing in agricultural species,
federal regulators and livestock producers.
Abstract submission for poster presentations closes Thursday, July 3, 2025,
11:59 PM (Pacific Time) to guarantee inclusion in the program. Students
presenting posters will be eligible for the John Clark Student Poster
Award, sponsored by the Roslin Institute.
Registration includes all meals starting with lunch on the day of arrival
and ending with breakfast on the day of departure, conference materials and
admission to all sessions, including poster reception.
