interest group: 19th March, 4pm CET

Dear all,
We are pleased to announce that Christopher Tuggle (Iowa State University,
USA) will be our speaker for the March 2024 talk of the #animal-genomics
Special Interest Group, taking place next Wednesday, March 19th, at 16:00
CET.
Christopher Tuggle is a leading researcher in functional genomics, with a
strong focus on gene regulation and single-cell transcriptomics in animal
models. His work has significantly contributed to functional annotation
efforts, particularly through using single-cell and spatial transcriptomics
to identify key regulatory elements in the genomes of pigs and other farm
animals. His studies have provided critical insights into disease resistance,
immune function, and economically important traits—key aspects that he will
explore during his talk.
