(Aug 15, 2006): The QTLdb tools are extended to also include cattle and chicken QTL data, "Pig QTLdb" is renamed to "Animal QTLdb".

Current data after additions of newly curated data:
- Pig QTL: 1,287;
- Cattle QTL: 630;
- Chicken QTL: 657.

(1) Launch of Chicken QTLdb - goes online
(2) Launch of Cattle QTLdb - goes online
(3) Animal QTLdb curator/editor tools open to public for new curators / editors to sign up
