    Animals:Ewes (n = 326) from a primary backcross family of a single F1 sire derived from an Awassi fat-tail x Merino superfine and medium cross population.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
    Design:Ewes were initially genotyped using 206 microsatellite markers and QTL were indicated on OAR 3 and 20. Additional markers in these OAR regions were then genotyped.
    Analysis:The Wood (1967) model was used for lactation curve modelling. Results were considered significant when LOD scores from QTL-MLE were >2 and p<0.05.
